It is exactly what we were looking for and has so much room inside. Great buy
Really surprised with how thick and heavy this cover is. I dont plan on keeping on while I am driving, more of a storage in the winter type of thing but I think will for sure extent the life of the ABS cover by a few years atleast
I think the tent is awsome. I went camping for 2 nites in it at potato patch campground. Chico,Ca. Going out again this weekend in Lassen National Park. I have 3 things that i think would be nice addition. 1 removable tablet pocket. 2 white colored clam shell (it gets hot inside closed clamshell) or a roof vent. 3 shoe bag holder track would be nice on 3 sides not just the back. I enter from the side mostly. Or can you send 2 more track so i can install myself? Also it would cool to have color options. I think a green polaris plus would look awsome.Other then that i think its an awsome tent. Excited to use it more. Thank you for a great product.
Absolutely thrilled with the quality and attention to detail, especially with the mounting hardware! I received multiple mounting option hardware, as well as the tools needed to assemble them. I don’t know of any other company that supplies a 13mm ratchet wrench with their mounting hardware, score! The awning sets up and packs away easily! I need to learn how to fold the canvas up better. I do wish the wiring harness for the lights was a single harness instead of two, but that does make it a bit more modular for other setups, being able to run the back lights separate from the front. After purchase, I received a hand written email with shipping date info and a rep to answer any questions I had. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase, 10/10 would buy from these guys again!
After spending alot of time searching for a tent that would fit my Maverick, I landed on the Sirius 1 Plus. Fits well on my low profile bars and I see no impact to MPG. The build quality is great! Went camping for the first time with it last weekend and with the blackout clothe and a fan running, my wife and I ended up sleeping in past 9AM. That has never happened in a packed California State Parks camp site before. Someone has a pic of a rain fly rod breaking a "mount"... Thats not where that rod is supposed to go. If you read the directions, you wont have the same issue that guy did. Also, support has been amazing. I had an issue trying to get this mounted to my extra wide bars and customer support was very helpful.
I purchased my tent in March and it has had an eventful life in the months since it was purchased.
I have unintentionally put it through the wringer durability wise which I will get to. First off though, the crate that the tent came is was solid and Shockingly well built.
After uncrating I was shocked at the quality and the deep value that this tent is. The materials appear to be as good as the other "Nest" rooftop tents. Seams and zippers are all straight and well finished. Built in LEDs and power station are nice touches. All the hardware on my unit were tight and secure with thread locking compound. The alluminum extrusion that make the shell of the tent were well sealed with urethane of silicone. The top and bottom aluminum sheet is very thin and I did have some dimples after a hail storm encounter.
Durability: My bed rack on my truck had a structural failure where a weld broke while I was in a turnaround in town. I heard a pop and noticed movement in my rearview mirror. I watched as the rack, recovery gear and this tent roll off the side of my truck (about 6ft) and into the road at about 20mph. The tent was mostly undamaged despite the impact other than road rash on the frame and gas struts and a small tear in the bottom panel from hitting a part of the collapsed rack.
That was a month ago. Last week I took it out again in what turned out to be some of the worst rain in months and everything inside remained dry, which is amazing since it took a hard impact to the side of the frame.
Well made product, I do suggest considering this option.
I have used the naturnest Sirius plus 1 twice since I received it and overall it has been a positive experience. However I will say that while sleeping on my back or stomach is fine with the memory pad, if I sleep on my side the pad noticably gives way and is not very comfortable. Other than that the system has been amazing.
very good material, cant wait to put it on for winter rainy months when no camping is planned or just dusty trails
This tent is so solid. Smaller & more compact than others. Quick set up & pack out. Infinitely more comfortable than sleeping on a pad. Blackout curtains are also amazing.
Tent is super suck and it was delivered faster than i expected. We have used it onces and really love it! Super comfortable pad and the tent is blackout when all windowes are closes. Super happy with our purchase!
I absolutely love the Sirius 1 Plus. Since the weather has turned nice, I’ve gone camping about every weekend. I’m 5’5 and have a lifted FJ cruiser and have no issues opening or closing the tent. The shoe bags on the sides have been life savers, the memory foam mat is insanely comfortable, there hasn’t been a single thing on this tent I would change. I love love love it. It’s cool that I can camp whenever I feel like it because it’s always with me. Love it. Couldn’t recommend it more.
Awning is of quality build and the parts are above average as well. Customer service is A+ and very responsive if you have issues.
Awesome RTT. Very impressed with the quality of construction. A great value for the price.
Great product. Fits my 2012 jku rubicon like a glove. The side walls are excellent and I love that it has a stove jack. The lights are bright and like how they are switchable from white to amber. It's easy to setup and take down. The cover is super easy to store it and plenty big.
Great tent, arrived on time and damage free. Attached to my roof rack easily and can’t wait to use it.
Shipping insurance is a must with expensive packages. Thank you Naturnest
The RTT arrived in good condition, and the packaging was very secure. The driver was very kind to help me put it in my garage. Thank you Naturnest team!
We love our Naturnest awning with the wall room. We've owned other brands and liked them but the Naturnest has so many great features in their product that make it stand out. The clear windows for cold and/or wet weather allow plenty of light so you don't feel like you're in a cave. It's roomy with the walls up and completely enclosed, prop rods that pivot up to direct rain off the awning, light strips are already installed with easy on/off and color selection. It folds and stows easily and seems quite sturdy so far. We're very happy with our purchase.
As a whole, I enjoy my Sirius 2 quite a bit. It's great value compared to other options and it has a lot of great features that set it apart. The fairly unique opening mechanics lead to having ventilation somewhere most RTTs can't; right by your head (or feet) which is amazing. This is great for warm weather breezes and cold weather access to an external diesel heater. The build quality has been great with no major issues, though my internal LED controller seems to be acting up. I can no longer increase the brightness. This is a minor annoyance, though and doesn't really affect the value. While we're talking minor annoyances, though, I do have a few more that truly are minor but worth mentioning. The strap to pull the tent closed is way longer than I need it to be since I have a smaller truck and only a bed-height rack. There's no real way to make this shorter so it ends up not being much use. Additionally, the main door has separate screen and overall cover zippers which means you need to open the screen entirely to access the cover. This is generally fine, but it makes handling ventilation a pain to deal with. You have to unzip your screen to add some ventilation, which isn't great if the bugs are out.
Overall a great experience with a few quirks, but nothing that really takes away from the value.
I got this tent a few months ago and have spent 8 nights in it so far. Those nights have been cold, a lot of rain, wind and little snow, down to 20F. This tent is excellent. No leaks, with a 0F bag I stayed warm. The tent's material is very thick and I didn't hear or feel the wind at all when I was sleeping. The pad is comfortable. With the abs shell the rain on the roof sounds incredible. The warm glow light color is my favorite, and I greatly appreciate the blackout material in the mornings after a night with captain morgan, the sun never woke me up early.
I only have one issue. I am a big guy, 6'7 275. The tent definitely feels a little shorter than the dimensions in the images and I think that is only because of the slope of the front door. My feet hit the end but I just sleep a bit angled and it's fine. The platform supports my weight with no flex.
I just came back here to buy the annex room, wanted to leave a review, maybe it will help somebody. I highly recommend this tent. I see people rocking $3000-4000 FSR tents and I feel great having spent only half they did, and after looking at theirs I think this tent is arguably much better. Great value, pick this thing up!
I researched for weeks on which RTT I should buy, I decided on the sirius 2. The first time I opened it up, I was very impressed with the work that went into it. You can tell that Naturnest listens to its customers by the improvements in the design. I can't wait to get it out on the trail.
